I work in the COE
(Center of Excellence) that is very
much like a PMO (Project Management
Office). I mostly work on projects
that are in the Medication
Management Program.
We generally have a Project Manager,
a Functional Lead and an IS Lead
assigned to each project. We're big
on having a clear Charter/Scope
before the project really takes off.
We use Project Server for our
project planning and timesheets.
Our users are not tracking time in
Project Server so it makes it very
difficult to manage the project
without their tasks.
Our PMO or COE is not in the IS area
but rather the business or
functional area.
